Join us to Protest Posie Parker in Edinburgh on Saturday April 06 from 12pm.

Kellie-Jay Keen Minshull, who performs under the name Posie Parker, is a transphobic, anti-feminist and far-right political campaigner.

Kellie-Jay Keen Minshull claims her rallies promote women’s rights but their sole purpose is instead to spread hatred against the trans community. She publicly denies being a feminist and has connections with the far right. Her rallies are attended by fascists and although she claims she has no power over who attends she has clearly hinted strongly enough that they are welcome. Her rally in Australia had attendees lining up making Nazi salutes. A previous speaker at a Let Woman Speak rally in the UK directly quoted Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf to accuse trans people of being part of a Big Lie.

We think the rally will be a violation of section 4 of the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) bill which comes into force only days earlier. We think this will be its first test, so we need as many people as possible to come out and say NO to hate in Scotland.

Queer Solidarity Bloc For Palestine

At the national Scottish protest in solidarity with Palestine on Saturday, 3rd February (details to follow)

Queer and trans liberation is not possible without racial justice, migrant justice, and freedom from colonialism. None of us is free until all are free.

We will not allow queer people to be weaponised by settler-colonial Israeli propaganda. We say NO to pinkwashing genocide.

As the slaughter in Palestine, as well as Lebanon and Yemen, continues and Western ‘democracies’ avert their gaze, it is more important than ever to maintain pressure on those who hold power. We must show them we will not ignore oppression; we will not get tired of calling for justice.

Join us to call for an immediate ceasefire; an end to UK government complicity in genocide; and for Palestinian liberation.

Free Palestine! Ceasefire now!

  • What’s the history of trans liberation? Where does the idea come from? Who have been the key voices?
  • How does the project of trans liberation intersect with other struggles e.g. class, abolitionism, women’s liberation?**
  • What can we do right now to advance trans liberation? In Edinburgh / Scotland / UK / internationally?
